FAQs
Is this a cash grant?
No. The energizeHER Impact Grant is a $10,000 marketing and media credit, not cash. The credit is applied to the "Local Celebrity Visibility Package" and related services described above. The goal is not to put money in your pocket for a week, but to build visibility and authority that pays you for years.
What if I don’t win the Grand Prize?
Each month, we name 1 Grand Prize Winner and 5 Impact Leaders. Each level is an amazing offer. And, no worries, every applicant receives a visibility growth guide!
Why is there an application fee?
The $4.99 application fee is non-refundable and covers the administrative time and resources required to review, process, and manage applications. It also helps us deter spam and fake submissions ensuring that we’re investing our energy into serious applicants. To honor your investment, every completed applicant receives a digital visibility resource, regardless of whether they win.
How often can I apply?
You can apply once per grant cycle (once per month). If you’re not selected to win the Grand Prize or Impact Leader level, you’re invited to apply next month. During some grant cycles, our partners may offer special offers that each applicant will receive, no matter if you are a named recipient.
Who is eligible to apply?
The grant is designed for Black women in business, especially coaches, consultants, speakers, and service-based entrepreneurs who have at least one paid offer and are ready to grow their visibility. If you’re not sure you qualify, ask yourself: “Am I serious about being seen as the go-to in my niche?” If yes, you’re likely a fit.
Do I have to live in a specific location?
The digital and media portions of the grant can be delivered virtually. The billboard portion is placed in or near your city or closest metro area where digital space is available. Final placement is determined by availability and logistics, and we’ll work with you to get the best possible location.
If I win, how long do I have to use the grant?
If selected as the Grand Prize Winner, you must begin your visibility package within a set time frame (for example, 60–90 days from the date of selection). This ensures we keep momentum and help you move while the excitement is fresh.
Is the application fee tax-deductible?
Please consult with your tax professional. The fee may be considered a business expense in some cases, but you’ll want to confirm based on your specific situation.
