Our mission

To redefine strength by celebrating the full humanity of Black women, our softness, our truth, our faith, and our power through storytelling, sisterhood, and visibility.

We exist to create spaces where Black women can breathe again, heal aloud, and share their stories without judgment or expectation.

This is not a campaign.
It’s a cultural correction.

Our vision

A world where Black women are:

  • Seen for their brilliance beyond survival.

  • Heard for their truth, not just their toughness.

  • Honored for their vulnerability, not their volume.

  • Supported with resources, relationships, and respect, not just applause.

Through books, media, community, and partnerships, we’re building a global platform that honors the real stories of Black womanhood, the resilience, the faith, the fragility, and the rise.

Our Purpose

The Black Women Aren’t Strong movement was born from the pain of silence, the kind that forces women to smile through storms and shrink their emotions to fit into expectations.

We’re rewriting that story.

Each volume of our anthology series, starting with Black Women Aren’t Strong: We’re Resilient, amplifies the voices of women who are telling the truth about what it costs to constantly “be strong”, and how they found peace, purpose, and power on the other side of pretending.

We believe every story shared becomes a bridge, connecting women to healing, hope, and heritage.

The Movement in Motion

What began as one book has become a global movement of storytelling, advocacy, and visibility.

The Black Women Aren’t Strong initiative now includes:

  • The Anthology Series — women telling their truths with courage and clarity.

  • The Documentary Series — exploring the real lives behind the myth of “strength.”

  • The Leadership Circles — safe spaces for faith, healing, and sisterhood.

  • The Resilience Awards — honoring women who are redefining leadership, faith, and womanhood in their industries.

Our mission is not only to share stories; it’s to shift systems.
Through collaboration with organizations, media partners, and policymakers, we are changing how the world speaks to and about Black women.

Black Women Aren’t Strong.

We’re Resilient.

We’re Unapologetic.

We’re Unstoppable.

We’re Covered by Grace.
